Kochi - Vythiri - Kalpetta - Sulthan Bathery - Kochi
๐Ÿ• 5 Days, 4 Nights๐Ÿ‘ฅ 1๐Ÿ“ Kerala Packages

Overview

This wayanad offbeat tour package covers five days across the forests, caves, peaks and coffee estates of Wayanad โ€” the hill district of Kerala that most travellers discover only after they have done Munnar twice. The difference shows from Day 1. Wayanad is not about viewpoints and tea garden selfies. It is about a district where the forest is still the dominant presence โ€” where Chembra Peak at 2,100 metres sits above working tea estates, where the Edakkal Caves hold Stone Age carvings that predate most of what the world calls ancient, and where Kuruva Island is a protected river delta entered by bamboo raft. This wayanad offbeat tour package is for the traveller who wants Kerala without the usual crowd.

Bon Voyagers manages the complete ground programme for this wayanad offbeat tour package from Kochi Airport arrival. The private AC Innova Crysta or similar covers all road transfers throughout. Four nights of deluxe hotel or resort stay in and around Vythiri and Kalpetta โ€” daily breakfast and dinner on MAP basis throughout. Chembra Peak Forest Department trek permit, Edakkal Caves entry, Kuruva Island bamboo raft entry and all sightseeing transfers as per the itinerary are included. The per person cost of this wayanad offbeat tour package is โ‚น18,500.

Itinerary

This wayanad offbeat tour package begins at Kochi Airport where the Bon Voyagers representative meets the group on arrival. The drive from Kochi to Vythiri covers approximately 280 kilometres through the Western Ghats foothills โ€” the road climbs from the Kozhikode side and the temperature drops noticeably as the vehicle gains altitude. Vythiri sits between 3,750 and 4,500 feet and the air is cooler and sharper than anything the plains offer. Evening is free โ€” the hotel property in Wayanad, if chosen well, is part of the experience itself. Coffee estate views, forest edge gardens and the sound of the hills at night are the Day 1 programme. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Vythiri.

Best Time to Visit

October to May is the preferred season for Wayanad, with the post-monsoon window of October to February giving the clearest skies and best trekking visibility on Chembra Peak. Monsoon from June to September closes Kuruva Island entirely as river levels make bamboo raft access unsafe, and the Chembra trail turns slippery and mist-covered. March to May runs warmer but Wayanad's elevation keeps it cooler than the Kerala coast even at peak summer.
