This route climbs from Kedarnath at 3,581 metres to Vasuki Tal at roughly 4,135 metres, genuinely cold and exposed at the lake regardless of season. The trek runs from Akshaya Tritiya through Bhai Dooj, roughly May through October, with the clearest conditions in the drier weeks of each end of that window.
