Best Time to Visit

December to April is the recommended window for this Silent Valley-Nelliampathy circuit, when the dry season gives the driest forest trails and highest wildlife movement to the Kunthipuzha river. The park may close temporarily between February and March to protect animals during periods of highest large mammal movement. Monsoon from June to September brings heavy rain that significantly restricts forest access in the Nilgiri Hills.
