Best Time to Visit
Rara sits at a genuine high altitude, roughly 2,990 metres, cold through much of the year with heavy winter snow closing access entirely. The best window runs April through June and September through November, since monsoon brings landslide risk on the approach and winter cuts off the region under snow.
