Best Time to Visit
This route climbs gradually through the Garhwal Himalayas alongside the Alaknanda river, comfortable through spring and autumn. May through June and September through November offer the clearest conditions, avoiding both monsoon landslide risk and winter cold at Joshimath specifically.
