Srinagar - Sonamarg - Naranag - Srinagar
๐Ÿ• 5 Days, 4 Nights๐Ÿ‘ฅ 1๐Ÿ“ Kashmir Packages

Overview

Naranag sits at the foot of Mount Harmukh in the Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir โ€” a village that holds an 8th century Hindu temple complex in partial ruin on the bank of the Wangath River, a glacier visible above the treeline from the village lanes and a trail into the high-altitude lake system that the wider Kashmir Great Lakes circuit is built around. The Gangabal Twin Lakes โ€” Gangabal and Nundkol โ€” sit at approximately 3,576 metres above the village and are the destination that YouTube trekking content on this area almost entirely focuses on. This naranag gangabal kashmir package is built around the Naranag base itself โ€” the temple ruins, the Mount Harmukh approach and the Sonamarg gateway โ€” rather than the multi-day Gangabal trek, which requires separate trekking logistics beyond the scope of a vehicle-based tour package.

Bon Voyagers handles the pickup from Srinagar Airport and covers four nights with a private Innova, Xylo or Scorpio class vehicle throughout. Day 2 moves northeast to Sonamarg for an overnight at the Sindh River valley base. Day 3 turns south from Sonamarg into the Kangan area and then up to Naranag in the Ganderbal district for the overnight at the village. Day 4 gives the full Naranag morning โ€” the temple ruins, the Wangath stream and the glacier view from the upper village โ€” before the return to Srinagar. Groups who want to extend into the Gangabal Trek from Naranag should contact the Bon team for a customised extension itinerary. Daily breakfast and dinner on MAP basis throughout.

Itinerary

The naranag gangabal kashmir package begins at Srinagar Airport where the Bon Voyagers vehicle is waiting at arrival. The first day stays in Srinagar โ€” the drive northeast to Sonamarg on Day 2 is best started fresh in the morning and the Srinagar base gives the group a proper overnight before the Central Kashmir circuit begins. The afternoon covers the Dal Lake Shikara ride, the Mughal Gardens at Nishat and Shalimar and the Hazratbal Shrine on the northern shore. The old city lanes around the Jhelum riverfront and Lal Chowk close the evening. For this naranag gangabal kashmir package the Srinagar afternoon is also the last point of full city infrastructure before the route moves into the Sindh River valley and then the Harmukh forest zone. Overnight in Srinagar.
