After an early breakfast, we drive towards the east of Ladakh for a full day of sightseeing on your leh ladakh tour package. After visiting the confluence, we head to Alchi, home to a complex of temples dating back to the 11th century. Alchi is the most celebrated of Ladakh’s monasteries and features incredibly well-preserved ancient murals and Buddhist art. On the way back, we visit Likir Monastery, originally built in the 11th century and reconstructed in the 18th century, which houses a magnificent 25-feet gold-covered Buddha statue that towers above the monastery courtyard. Back in Leh, we visit the historic Leh Palace, a nine-storey structure that was once the royal residence of the King of Ladakh, followed by Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist monument that offers panoramic sunset views of the entire Leh valley.
