The Karnali valley sits in Nepal's warm far-western lowlands, comfortable through winter and genuinely hot before the monsoon. Rafting conditions depend on water flow, best from October through early December when monsoon runoff has settled, and again briefly in spring. Monsoon months bring genuinely dangerous high water, avoided entirely for this trip.
