Best Time to Visit
This route climbs from Lukla's roughly 2,800 metres to Island Peak's summit at over six thousand one hundred metres, genuinely extreme cold at altitude regardless of season. The climb runs best April through May and October through November, since monsoon brings dangerous conditions and winter brings severe cold and technical ice conditions beyond standard trekking-peak difficulty.
