Best Time to Visit
Manali stays comfortable through the trek's season, while the pass itself, at over four thousand two hundred metres, holds snow even in peak summer, adding real cold to every crossing day regardless of month. The trek runs from roughly mid-June through mid-October, since winter closes the route entirely. June and early July often mean walking through leftover snow near the pass, August brings blooming meadows, and September through mid-October offers the clearest skies with the least snow underfoot.
