Best Time to Visit
The Everest region climbs from Lukla's roughly 2,800 metres to base camp's 5,364 metres, genuinely cold throughout regardless of season, with nights below freezing even in peak trekking months. The trek runs best March through May and September through November, since monsoon brings dangerous trail conditions and winter closes much of the route under snow.
