Paro sits at a moderate altitude that stays comfortable through most of the year, warmer than Thimphu but cooler than the lowlands around Phuentsholing. Winter, December through February, brings cold mornings and occasional frost, while March through May offers clear skies and mild daytime temperatures suited to the Tiger's Nest hike. October and November give the sharpest Himalayan views after the monsoon clears, making autumn the strongest fit for a trip this compact, where there's no room to wait out a cloudy day.
