5 Day Weighted Andaman Sea Walking Package | Weightless

Sea walking puts a person on the sea bed at 5 to 7 metres depth without asking them to swim, hold their breath or wear a scuba tank. A weighted helmet sits on the shoulders, a transparent visor panel gives full visibility, air pumps continuously from a surface compressor through a hose and the walker descends a ladder from the boat into the water and walks upright on the coral sand between the reef formations with an instructor guide alongside. The Andaman Islands reef at eye level from an upright walking position is a completely different experience from the same reef seen face-down from the surface through a snorkel mask — the fish respond to an upright figure differently, the spatial relationship between the coral formations reads differently and the sense of actually being on the sea bed rather than hovering above it is specific to the andaman sea walking package in a way that no other water activity delivers. Bon Voyagers manages the complete ground programme from Port Blair Airport arrival. Day 1 covers Port Blair, the Cellular Jail and the North Bay sea walk — the first of three sea walks across three distinct sites on this andaman sea walking package. Day 2 takes the ferry to Havelock for the Elephant Beach sea walk in the afternoon. Day 3 gives the group a second Elephant Beach session and Radhanagar Beach. Day 4 crosses to Neil Island for the Bharatpur Beach sea walk and the Laxmanpur natural bridge. Day 5 returns to Port Blair for Ross Island and the departure. Vehicle transfers, ferry tickets and boat tickets are included. Sea walking charges at each site are paid locally to registered operators.
