6 Day Archipelago Andaman Island Hopping Package | Wandering
Overview
The Andaman Islands archipelago has over 500 islands. Of those, a handful are accessible to visitors. Of those, most people see two β Havelock and Neil β and call the islands done. The andaman island hopping package is built around the idea that each island in the accessible Andaman chain has its own distinct character and that the point of island hopping is the comparison β what Ross Island is with its colonial ruins and its deer against what Havelock is with its reef and its long beach against what Neil Island is with its quiet and its natural rock bridge. Each island has a specific pace and a specific quality of time and the andaman island hopping package is structured to move through that range across six days. Arriving on a new island each morning with the previous one still in the body and the next one unknown is a different kind of travel from staying in one place and extracting everything from it.
Bon Voyagers manages the complete ground programme from Port Blair Airport arrival. Day 1 covers Port Blair and Ross Island for the colonial ruins and the historical first island encounter. Day 2 takes the ferry to Havelock for Radhanagar Beach. Day 3 is the full Havelock day across Elephant Beach and Kalapathar. Day 4 crosses to Neil Island for the natural bridge and the calm beaches. Day 5 is the Neil full day before the evening ferry returns to Port Blair. Day 6 is North Bay Island for the reef glass bottom boat before the departure. Private ferry tickets in economy class, all boat tickets, vehicle transfers and MAP meals throughout are included.

Best Time to Visit
The island hopping circuit between Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Island is best completed between October and May when ferry services run reliably and sea conditions allow the island-to-island crossings without significant disruption. The monsoon from June through September brings rough seas that frequently cancel ferry sailings between the islands and the package is not recommended during this period. November through February is the peak demand window when temperatures are comfortable for island walking, sea conditions are calm and the reef visibility at North Bay and Havelock is at its clearest. The Ross Island forest is accessible year-round but the golden afternoon light at the ruins is most dramatic in the lower sun angle of the October to February months.
