This is Siang river country at around 6,000 feet, not high pass terrain, so the real test is distance and rough road rather than altitude.
You travel in a private Innova, Xylo or Scorpio class vehicle with a driver who runs these interior roads regularly. The Siang and Mechuka circuit is most reliable from October to April, the drier months when the interior roads and river crossings are most stable. Dibrugarh and Pasighat are warm year round, while Mechuka at 6,000 feet is cool even in summer.
