A sea kayak sits at the surface of the water rather than above it. That is not a minor distinction. The coral formations below Elephant Beach on Havelock Island look different from a kayak — closer, more immediate, the water between the hull and the reef reduced to a few feet of clarity. The mangrove channels on the interior side of Havelock Island are navigable by kayak in sections that a motorboat cannot enter — the channel narrows into shallow forest waterways where the paddle has to be kept close to the hull and the mangrove roots are close enough to touch on both sides. The Ritchie’s Archipelago, the island group that includes Havelock and Neil Island and the uninhabited islands between them, has channels and passages that the sea kayak covers at a pace that is genuinely different from any boat crossing. This andaman kayaking package builds its six days around that difference — the water at surface level, guided sessions through the mangrove interior and around the island coast, and the specific experience of the Andaman Sea from a position close enough to it to feel what the tide is doing. None of the other Bon Voyagers Andaman packages cover this.

Bon Voyagers manages the complete ground programme from Port Blair Airport arrival. Day 1 covers Port Blair and the Cellular Jail. Day 2 takes the ferry to Havelock with an introductory afternoon paddle in sheltered water. Day 3 is the full kayaking day — mangrove channel morning and Elephant Beach bay afternoon. Day 4 crosses to Neil Island for the mangrove creek session and the island beaches. Day 5 returns to Port Blair for the Ross Island and North Bay afternoon. Day 6 is the departure. Private AC Ertiga or Xylo class vehicle covers all Port Blair transfers.
