Overview
The road from Shillong to Cherrapunji passes through a viewpoint where the valley drops from the road edge without the plateau preparation that Cherrapunji’s cliff face provides. Mawkdok Dympep Valley opens on the left side of the descending road – a deep valley system where the surrounding hills frame a view wide enough that the eye has to move rather than settle.
