Best Time to Visit
North Andaman and the Mayabunder area are most comfortable between October and May when road conditions through Middle Andaman are reliable and the short boat crossing from Mayabunder harbour to Avis Island is calm. The monsoon from June through September brings heavy rainfall and can disrupt the road journey from Port Blair to Rangat, though the Avis Island channel crossing itself is short enough to be manageable in most non-monsoon conditions.
