Gulmarg sits at approximately 2,650 metres in the Pir Panjal range of North Kashmir and the skiing terrain above it extends from the meadow base to the Apharwat ridge at approximately 3,980 metres — a vertical drop of over 1,300 metres served by the Gondola cable car in two phases. The upper slopes above Kongdori receive powder snow from the western disturbances that cross Kashmir between November and March and the terrain mix at Gulmarg covers beginner runs on the lower meadow, intermediate slopes on the Kongdori bowl and advanced off-piste on the Apharwat upper field. Bon Voyagers handles the pickup from Srinagar Airport and covers three nights with a private Innova, Xylo or Scorpio class vehicle throughout. Night 1 is in Srinagar before the Day 2 drive to Gulmarg for the first of two consecutive skiing nights. Day 2 afternoon covers ski equipment rental and the first session on the lower slopes. Day 3 gives the full second skiing day — Gondola Phase 1 to Kongdori and Phase 2 to Apharwat for those ready for the upper terrain. Day 4 drives back to Srinagar for the airport drop.
