Laitlum Canyon sits 25 kilometres from Shillong and has its own vehicle queue by mid-morning on most weekends. Rapleng Canyon sits 35 kilometres from Shillong in the opposite direction and the group that arrives at the rim finds the same East Khasi Hills geometry – cliffs dropping into valley floor, the meadow simply ending at an edge – without the queue. A natural swimming pool sits at the base of the rapleng canyon meghalaya approach trail. The village around it carries the daily life of a Khasi community that has not yet organised itself around visitors.
Bon handles the vehicle from Guwahati Airport or Railway Station with Shillong as Night 1. Day 2 drives to Rapleng for the canyon, the pool and the village with an overnight at a local homestay. Day 3 returns through Umiam Lake before closing at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Daily breakfast on CP basis throughout. This is the shortest and most accessible package in the Bon Meghalaya series – three days, two nights, one canyon that most people drive past without knowing it is there.

Meghalaya stays cool year-round. Shillong enjoys pleasant weather (15°C–25°C), while Cherrapunji and Mawsynram receive heavy monsoons (June–September), creating dramatic waterfalls. Winters (October–February) are crisp and dry (4°C–16°C), perfect for exploring living root bridges, crystal-clear Dawki river, and limestone caves. October to April is the best time for sightseeing, trekking, and clear valley views.
